Shaul Kuper

Founder, President & CEO

A visionary leader and entrepreneur, Shaul Kuper founded Destiny Solutions Inc. in 2001 to spearhead the opportunity for change he foresaw in the higher education industry.

Passionate about technological innovation and the spirit of collaboration, Kuper’s focus on world-class customer service and business excellence at post-secondary institutions has led to Destiny Solutions’ partnerships with leading institutions and significant year-over-year growth.

In 2012 he founded The EvoLLLution, an online community newspaper dedicated to serving non-traditional education providers and evoking positive change in the shifting higher education landscape. As a public commentator on the business of non-traditional education and the role of technology, he regularly advises on student engagement strategies with industry leaders in higher education.

Prior to founding Destiny Solutions, Kuper was President of Destiny Web Designs, a Toronto-based website development firm. He holds a B.Sc. Honours degree from the University of Toronto.

Peter DeVries

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Peter DeVries provides operational leadership for the company, which includes best-practice processes, proactive resource management and timely information to enable Destiny Solutions to exceed its business goals.

DeVries has 25 years of broad-based IT and enterprise software operational experience. He has a proven track record of transforming development teams into world-class technology organizations. Since joining the Destiny Solutions executive team in 2008, DeVries was instrumental in the successful realization of Destiny Solutions’ enterprise SaaS offering. Previously, DeVries was Senior Development Director at Infor, the third largest provider of enterprise applications and services. He managed a global team of 130 professionals who provided the development, product management, QA and architecture for Infor’s Human Capital Management product portfolio. Prior to that, DeVries was Chief Technology Officer of Necho Systems, a venture-backed provider of enterprise expense processing solutions that was acquired by CyberShift. He successfully reengineered the complete software development and support lifecycle that resulted in a dramatic improvement in customer satisfaction and out-of-box quality. DeVries also served as VP of Engineering and Business Development of Classwave Wireless, where he produced the industry’s first software to enable business services over Bluetooth™ and developed successful alliances with HP, Ericsson and other leading technology providers. DeVries also was VP, Engineering and Chief Operating Officer of The BullDog Group (acquired by EMC); President of Strategic Solutions; and held technical leadership positions at IBM and Mutual Life Insurance.

DeVries holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree with joint honors in Computer Science and Economics from University of Waterloo. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Project Management Professional (PMP). Devries has authored numerous technical papers and is frequent speaker on object technology and content management.

Alan Glaeser

Chief Growth Officer

As Chief Growth Officer, Alan Glaeser brings a wealth of expertise to Destiny Solutions to maximize the company’s impact in the lifelong learning community. He is responsible for growing the global reach of the company including its revenue, customer base, market share, and customer engagement.

Glaeser brings over 25 years of experience to Destiny Solutions in the implementation and sales of enterprise software solutions. Before joining Destiny Solutions, Glaeser was a Vice President of Higher Education Sales for Oracle, Inc. covering the United States. During his 15-year tenure at Oracle/PeopleSoft, Glaeser successfully grew the market share, revenue, and customer satisfaction in the Higher Education ERP vertical and helped establish Oracle as the market leader. Prior to that, Glaeser was the Vice President of the Americas for the back office group at Baan after the acquisition of CODA Financials, Inc. At Baan, he successfully orchestrated the establishment of regional offices across the Americas while growing the sales, marketing and consulting team to 115 professionals. Glaeser was also Regional Vice President at Cincom Systems joining after guiding the successful implementation of MRPII at General Dynamics/Abilene resulting in an Oliver Wight Class A Certification in only 13 months.

Glaeser holds a BBA in Accounting from Abilene Christian University as well as a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification. He has been a speaker at both Schools of Business and conferences focusing on the state of the market and management.
