Founder & CEO
A visionary leader and entrepreneur, Shaul Kuper founded Destiny Solutions Inc. in 2001 to spearhead the opportunity for change he foresaw in the higher education industry.
Passionate about technological innovation and the spirit of collaboration, Kuper’s focus on world-class customer service and business excellence at post-secondary institutions has led to Destiny Solutions’ partnerships with leading institutions and significant year-over-year growth.
In 2012 he founded The EvoLLLution, an online community newspaper dedicated to serving non-traditional education providers and evoking positive change in the shifting higher education landscape. As a public commentator on the business of non-traditional education and the role of technology, he regularly advises on student engagement strategies with industry leaders in higher education.
Prior to founding Destiny Solutions, Kuper was President of Destiny Web Designs, a Toronto-based website development firm. He holds a B.Sc. Honours degree from the University of Toronto.
President & COO
As President and Chief Operating Officer, Peter DeVries provides operational leadership for the company, which includes best-practice processes, proactive resource management and timely information to enable Destiny Solutions to exceed its business goals.
DeVries has 25 years of broad-based IT and enterprise software operational experience. He has a proven track record of transforming development teams into world-class technology organizations. Since joining the Destiny Solutions executive team in 2008, DeVries was instrumental in the successful realization of Destiny Solutions’ enterprise SaaS offering. Previously, DeVries was Senior Development Director at Infor, the third largest provider of enterprise applications and services. He managed a global team of 130 professionals who provided the development, product management, QA and architecture for Infor’s Human Capital Management product portfolio. Prior to that, DeVries was Chief Technology Officer of Necho Systems, a venture-backed provider of enterprise expense processing solutions that was acquired by CyberShift. He successfully reengineered the complete software development and support lifecycle that resulted in a dramatic improvement in customer satisfaction and out-of-box quality. DeVries also served as VP of Engineering and Business Development of Classwave Wireless, where he produced the industry’s first software to enable business services over Bluetooth™ and developed successful alliances with HP, Ericsson and other leading technology providers. DeVries also was VP, Engineering and Chief Operating Officer of The BullDog Group (acquired by EMC); President of Strategic Solutions; and held technical leadership positions at IBM and Mutual Life Insurance.
DeVries holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree with joint honors in Computer Science and Economics from University of Waterloo. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Project Management Professional (PMP). Devries has authored numerous technical papers and is frequent speaker on object technology and content management.

Director of Professional Services
A 20-year technology project and program management veteran, Jeremy Fleming brings a wide array of skills and experience to his role as the Director of Professional Services. His team drives product implementations from start to finish, partnering with clients to work together as a single project team. With his team of business analysts, project managers and other services delivery team members, Fleming ensures the high-quality and on-time delivery of all Destiny Solutions client projects. The Professional Services team thrives on fast-paced, dynamic environments, working on and delivering multiple projects at multiple phases for Destiny Solutions clients – just like Jeremy himself.
Before joining the Destiny Solutions team, Fleming was the Director of Program Management and Operational Readiness (IT) for the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games Organizing Committee.
Jeremy has a B.A.H. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Guelph.

Director of Marketing
Since joining Destiny Solutions in 2011, Director of Marketing Rachel Kuper has supported Destiny Solutions’ growth by developing and executing a unique vision for approaching the higher education market. She provides strategic direction for Destiny’s content marketing campaigns and inbound marketing infrastructure. Kuper was the energy behind Destiny publishing its first-ever book, Climb, and she spearheaded the creation of The EvoLLLution, the Destiny Solutions-founded online newspaper that publishes insights of industry leaders on the transformation of the postsecondary space. Kuper is committed to contributing to the quality of discourse around postsecondary trends while enhancing Destiny’s brand strength, encouraging greater awareness of Destiny Solutions’ work, and contributing to the company’s competitive market position.
Kuper hold a B.A.H in History from Queen’s University, where she served as Managing Editor of the Queen’s Journal, North America’s oldest student-run university newspaper.

As the Chief Architect for Destiny Solutions, Wai-Kau Lo is responsible for the overall architecture of Destiny One and he ensures Destiny One is aligned with software best practices. Lo’s leadership helps Destiny Solutions’ technical teams maintain a balance between the tactical and strategic vision laid out by the rest of the executive team.
Lo holds a B.Sc. (with First Class Honors) in Computer Science from the University of Hong Kong and a Ph.D. in Computer Science, with a speciality in Distributed Systems, from the Univeristy of Toronto. He has published numerous papers over the course of his professional and academic career, and his paper, “A multi-attribute utility theoretic negotion architecture for electronic commerce,” won the Best Paper Award at the Agents 2000 conference.

Director of Technical Product Management
Chad Rowe is a Destiny Solutions veteran, joining the team in 2003 as the Director of Implementation Services. He transitioned in 2013 into the role of Director of Technical Product Management, where he drives the cross-functional efforts to build and transform Destiny Solutions’ products. Chad works actively with clients to understand their business goals and develop solution roadmaps to help them meet their desired outcomes.
Chad has been instrumental in driving recent new modules Destiny Solution’ products, including the International and Specialty Program Manager, Language Packs, and the Proctoring and Exam Scheduling Manager.
Chad earned his B.Sc. in Marine Biology and his M.Sc. in Evolutionary Biology and Molecular Genetics from the University of Guelph. While studying at Guelph, Chad led research that resulted in the discovery and naming of three new species of freshwater zooplankton.

Director of Client Services
Matthew White, a long-time leader at Destiny Solutions, is the Director of Client Services. White and his team maintain and sustain the relationship with Destiny’s client after product implementations. Client Services facilitates client success with Destiny Solutions products while providing experienced strategic insight to foster clients future success. White took the lead in establishing the Client Services team when he saw a need to help guide new clients through the transition from new implementation to successful product owners.
White holds a B.A.H. in Anthropology from the University of Waterloo.

Managing Editor of The EvoLLLution
Amrit Ahluwalia is the Managing Editor of The EvoLLLution, the online newspaper developed by Destiny Solutions to create a conversation hub focused on non-traditional higher education and the transforming postsecondary marketplace. Ahluwalia was part of the team that conceived of and launched The EvoLLLution.
The EvoLLLution serves over 1800 contributors and attracts approximately 60,000 monthly visitors. The site publishes articles and interviews by some of the industry’s leading thinkers at every level — from presidents and provosts to deans and directors to educators and students to employers and government officials and everyone in-between — from across the United States and around the world.
Ahluwalia works personally with every contributor at The EvoLLLution to produce the content that has supported the site’s rise to becoming the top resource for non-traditional higher education. He regularly speaks on topics related to the changing higher education environment at conferences across Canada and the United States.
Ahluwalia earned his BA (Honors) in Political Studies from Queen’s University and his MA in International Politics from McMaster University.

Director of Development
Adam Douglas is a Director of Development at Destiny Solutions, overseeing the management of development teams responsible for Destiny One, Destiny Solutions’ customer lifecycle management (CLM) platform crafted specifically for administrators serving non-traditional students. Alongside Destiny Solutions’ other Development Directors, Douglas manages all functions of Research and Development for Destiny One, including continual development process improvements, product releases and overall product quality. In his role as Director, Douglas led the initiative to evolve Destiny Solutions’ development process to provide the Professional Services organization with high quality, on-time deliverables, and led the expansion of Destiny One’s integration capabilities through his team’s development of web service APIs and IPaas implementation.
Douglas holds a B.Math (Honours) in Computer Science with an Information Systems Option (Co-op) from the University of Waterloo.

Director of Development
Hoan Luong is a Director of Development at Destiny Solutions, overseeing the management of development teams responsible for Destiny One, Destiny Solutions’ customer lifecycle management (CLM) platform crafted specifically for administrators serving non-traditional students. Alongside Destiny Solutions’ other Development Directors, Luong manages all functions of Research and Development for Destiny One, including continual development process improvements, product releases and overall product quality. In his role as Director, Luong led the design and implementation of a number of Destiny One features, such as the Configuration Editor, Resource Editor, Family Portal, integration with Tableau, collaboration with Snaplogic, the Persistent Shopping Cart and a redesign of the shopping cart for all Destiny One public-facing portals.
Luong holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Ryerson University.

Director of Development
Cynthia Mak is a Director of Development at Destiny Solutions, overseeing the management of development teams responsible for Destiny One, Destiny Solutions’ customer lifecycle management (CLM) platform crafted specifically for administrators serving non-traditional students. Alongside Destiny Solutions’ other Development Directors, Mak manages all functions of Research and Development for Destiny One, including continual development process improvements, product releases and overall product quality. Recently, Mak led the teams that developed and built the International Specialty Program Manager and Language Packs modules from technical approach to delivery, and was a key player in eliminating Destiny Solutions’ customer defect backlog to enhance customer success and satisfaction.
Mak holds a B.Sc. (Hons) with Distinction in Computer Science and Math from the University of Toronto.
